Wednesday, November 28th - Friday, December 2nd, 2022

 Whew! It's been a busy week in Grade 5 at Northern Lights School!

On Wednesday we: 

• Learned how to create word referents using adjectives and nouns to create suspense when introducing a story critical character or object
• Completed a Blooket activity answering comprehension questions about our Global Read-Aloud book, "Thirst"
• Started watching a documentary about the different provinces in Canada to add information and finish our Canadian Passport Assignments

Yesterday we: 

• 
  Continued to learn about how to create suspense in our writing through the use of Red-Flag Words
• Listened to "The Wishtree" created wishes for others to hang on our school Wish Tree
• Worked on different creations during Makerspace such as Cardboard Creation

Today we: 

• Read to Someone during reading time
• Planned our own suspenseful segment for our Pourquoi Stories using the different techniques we learned this week
• Presented our thinking from the "One Grain of Rice" task during Math Congress
