Week of March 4th - 8th, 2024
This week we:
- Wrote a reflection based on the Anticipation Guide we completed before and after reading "A Rover's Story" to see if our opinions changed since reading the book
- Worked on our Basic Facts by playing Math Games as well as daily opportunities to work on our personalized fact fluency goals
- Welcomed Mrs. Harris into our Math Classroom who shared some cool ideas about how to use Number Lines, Problem Strings, and Counting Circles to improve our mental Math skills
- Continued to develop our understanding of Order of Operations that include addition, multiplication, and division by creating our own story problems and pictures to help us with our solving
- Continued to work on our research about our Black historical figure and began our slideshow for our Undefeated projects
- Typed our "I Am" poems about the Bully, Bullied, Brave, and Bystander from Pink Shirt Day
- Finished learning about the different bodies of water and usages in each of our regions using non-fiction texts and maps
- Learned about gratitude and began a writing piece based on the book, "What I Like Most" where we wrote paragraphs about the things in our life we were grateful for
- Watched the trailer for Season 3 of "Minecraft Education Level Up Calgary!" and learned about the Design Thinking Process
- Created snow volcanos and made irreversible changes by combining baking soda and vinegar
