 Yesterday we:

  • Identified three different techniques to create suspense in our narrative writing such as through the use of story questions, word referents, and the magic of three
  • Reviewed different ways to represent large numbers including standard form, expanded form, and word form
  • Worked together to create our classroom wreath after reading "A Poppy is to Remember" and discussing the importance of poppies

Today we:
  • Learned about using word referents to create suspense when writing using a variety of adjectives and nouns
  • Helped set up for the Remembrance Day Ceremony and did an amazing job listening and participating alongside the other Grade 3s, 4s, and 5s!
  • Chose an Indigenous Veteran to research and created a slide to share the information we learned with the rest of our classmates

Reminders:

  • Thursday, November 9th: PD Day (No School for Students)
  • November 10th - 14th: Fall Break (No School)
