 Today we: 

• Learned about two different types of figurative language: similes and metaphors
• Created ratios, percents, fractions, and decimals using the letters in our names
• Made Thank You cards for people who have helped out around the school 
• Noted some of the different groups of people that immigrated to Canada during The Great Migration such as people from Scotland, Germany, China, and Poland
• Created different weather instruments such as a weather vane, anemometer, and pinwheels measure different types of weather

Tomorrow (Wednesday June 28th): Grade 5 Send-Off in Gymnasium (2:45-3:30)

• Friday, June 29th:  PJ Day (Last Day of School): Students can bring a personal snack to munch on while we watch the City of Ember
