 Yesterday we: 

• Watched videos about different Female Black Canadians and took notes to help us decide which historical figure we want to complete our research projects about
• Completed our daily Basic Facts practice
• Listened to an Indigenous author read her story, "Little Wolf" and talk about the importance of Pink Shirt Day
• Brainstormed what it would feel like to be the Bully, the Bullied, the Bystander, and the Brave after being randomly selected to be in one of the four different groups
• Mixed two solid substances and used a variety of methods to attempt to separate them 

Today we: 

• Read an article abuot 6 different Famous Female Black Canadians and took notes on each
• Wrote the rough copies of our "I Am" poems from the perspective of the Bully, Bullied, Bystander, or Brave
• Completed our daily Words Their Way activities
• Played Rhythm Master and Pass the Beat on the Djembe drums in Music
• Tested the pH of different liquids to learn if they were an acid or a base
