Today we:

  • Kept our lights off all day for Environmental Week and talked about how the solar panels on the roof of our school create electricity using our understanding of electrons from Science
  • Reviewed our work on comparing and ordering fractions
  • Created a short circuit and discussed how that affects a battery and the risk of short circuits on a larger scale
  • Read "The Hockey Sweater" and learned about how Miss Gadbois' favourite hockey team (the Montreal Canadiens) relates to the battle of the British vs. the French in the colonization of Canada in the St. Lawrence/Great Lakes region
  • Used charcoal pencils and started to learn how to create a sphere with attention to the "core" and "highlight"
