Whew! What a jam-packed week in Grade 5. Here's what we got up to.

Yesterday we:

  • Began writing the "Beginning of the Action" of our Just So Stories,
  • Learned about congruency and symmetry of regular polygons,
  • Visited the Learning Commons for our book exchange!
Today we:
  • Worked on our retelling skills by creating a video on Flipgrud after reading the story "Explorers in the Wild",
  • Completed a check-in to show of understanding of reflections,
  • Went on our Walking Field Trip to the Storm Pond where we used magnify glasses to observe wetland creatures in samples from the pond!
Reminders:

  • Halloween Update - lots of students have been asking - Next Friday, October 29th students can dress in "black and orange" or wear costumes, if they want. Only "appropriate" costumes are allowed (no fake blood, masks, fake weapons, etc). Mrs. Brinson has also sent out information regarding costumes. Please give that a read!
