Yesterday we:
- Participated in a daily Number String where we discussed the best personal strategy that can be used when adding decimals through the use of visuals such as a number line
- Practiced playing "Decimal Pickle" and learned how to play "Junk It" in Math before teaching our parents at the Math Event
- Learned about the why we celebrate Black History Month in Canada and discussed some important historical figures such as: John Ware, Mary Ann Shadd, Willis Reese Bowen, Viola Irene Davis Desmond, and Michaelle Jean
Today we:
- Practiced our fluency by reading aloud to a partner
- Completed a Secret Code Math Scavenger Hunt around the school
- Shared the different words we learned the meaning of starting with the "un" prefix as well as some of the Black historical figures we read about
